Wieslaw Dudek
Wieslaw Dudek was born in Poland and graduated from the State Ballet Academy in Lodz. In 1996, he was awarded the "Best Ballet School Graduate in Poland."
After graduation, he joined the Polish National Opera and Ballet in Lodz, and soon after in the National Ballet of Poland in Warsaw, where he was promoted to Principal Dancer.
Having made a name for himself in Poland, he was soon invited to the world-famous Stuttgart Ballet, and in 2003 became one of the Berliner Staatsballett’s main Principal dancers.
He has worked with Maurice Béjart, John Neumeier, Uwe Scholz, Kenneth Macmillan, John Cranko and many other international dancers. As such, Dudek has received high praise from choreographers worldwide.
As a dancer, he has performed in many countries around the world, including the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Canada, the United States, Brazil, Japan, South Korea, China, France, Spain, Russia, Italy, Slovenia, Austria, Sweden, Greece, Poland, and has a special relationship with the Bolshoi Ballet Moscow, Royal Swedish Ballet, and K-Ballet Japan.
In 2013, he became the first Polish actor to star in John Cranko's "Onegin" at the Bolshoi Ballet, Russia.
In addition to serving as a judge at competitions around the world, he is also active as a lecturer at numerous workshops, etc. In 2014, he served as a ballet master at the Hungarian State Ballet Theatre.
The Polish-Japanese project 'Youth Spirit of Dance', which he Founded and Directed, is still active today and is a huge success worldwide. Recently, he has been recognized for his various activities and has received many international awards from the Minister of Culture and Arts of Poland, Ostrow Bielkopolski.
In 2015, he moved his base of operations to Tokyo, where he taught at K-Ballet Company and K-Ballet School. Currently he is the main teacher of Tokyo’s famous open studio Architanz, and also runs the pre-professional training program, Architanz Training Program.
He is also a guest lecturer at the Stuttgart Ballet, John Cranko School, and Tokyo City Ballet, Wieslaw Dudek is a very popular teacher in Japan and is extremely active both in Japan and abroad.
